Blumenthal presents service medals to family of late WWII veteran, life-long Ansonia resident

A lifelong city resident who was a member of the greatest generation was posthumously recognized Friday by U.S. Sen. Richard Blumenthal and Mayor David S. Cassetti.

ANSONIA - David S. Cassetti was sworn in for a second term Nov. 30 at Ansonia High School. Superior Court Judge Theodore Tyma administered the oath of office to Cassetti before more than 100 supporters in the auditorium.

Thousands of visitors Saturday lled Nolan Field and rocked the Valley for the second year, enjoying great sounds, quality arts and craft vendors, a variety of cuisine and a reworks display.
